Very cool find, Cpt. Retardo. It seems like everytime I read an article about the Edwards Aquifer, it's always about them finding a new or rare species there. A matter of fact, I'm off to visit a friend of mine in Luling, TX this weekend and the Aquarena Center is only a half-hour away. I think I can fit a visit in for an afternoon.
Oh the Edwards Aquifer is one of the best natural wonders in Texas. Here's the place I'm talking about visiting, Aquarena Springs. Aquarena Springs is located in San Marcos about 50 miles away from San Antonio, but still part of the Aquifer connected by the same vast underwater cavern system. Here's pics of their endangered species on exhibit. http/www.aquarena.txstate.edu/aquarium.html
I haven't seen the place in over ten years... I going to take Friday off and go visit for sure now and make it a 3-day weekend.
