For any of you who have read my other posts today, I have had a major phosphate / algae problem. This has since meant removing all rocks (malawi tank) and scrubbing, throwing away the plants, cleaning the glass, and putting it all back again.
The cichlids all took it in their stride, so did the pim pictus, but my King Tiger Plec was trying to manually eject himself from the tank! He got himself in a right state. He then attached himself to the front of the tank whilst we were putting his home back in and I noticed what look like few lesions (very red areas) on his belly and under his fins. They didnt look quite right anyway??
The tank is all back together and looking better than ever, but I think I am going to add Melafix for 7 days to make sure that any wounds my plec has will heal. He is such a stunning boy (see his pic here
) I just dont want to lose him!
