Very Sick eel

Hello All.

I have had a beautiful Fire Eel for quite sometime now who has grown to be a wonderful specimen and is also a real character - taking food from the hand and generally being quite an interactive fish. He's great

But in Windsor we recently had a spell of hot weather and my tank temperatures climbed. He has since been off his food and has now gone pale and "ballooned" in girth.

I am desperate to work out what and how I treat him. Have already tried some standard anti-bacterial treatment with no success.

Can anybody advise - I am NOT going to lose this fish!!
