Very Aggressive Neon

hi, i have a very aggressive and terrortorial neon teta! it's horrible to watch him he chases all the other tetras away and they all have cuts in them. sometimes one will swim behind the plant, where he always is and bash him then the nasty one will cahse him. then the other one will and so on. is this a sign of anything or is it abnormal thanks for any help.

How many neons do you have and what is your tank size?

6 and 30l (getting a new one soon)

I am having the same problem, I have lost some of my neons and now there is just 2 males and 1 female. I have been treating one of the males wounds, he has now gone back in. But i don't know how long he is going to last before he gets more cuts, already had one die over this

Adding more neons will help stop the agression problem, its not uncommon with neons but it is rarely ever very bad, but adding more neons to the shoal will help spread any agression amoungst them out or even stop it altogether.
30Litres does not really offer neons enough space though (which is probably part of the problem), if you are getting a new tank i'd definately advise getting at least a 60 litre tank or more .

I think it's 8 to 10 for neons... I think I've got lucky with my 8.
