Fish Crazy
I have a new 16.5 gallon tank, shared by 2 Betta (divided tank). One has both fungus and a possible case of velvet (fish are both new so I can't tell if the gold is from natural coloration under flashlight or from velvet, so I took the safe road and treated it)
I'm using both jungle parasite guard and jungle fungus eliminator.
But, the tank is new. It had started to cycle. I had to remove the carbon filter to run the fungus eliminator treatment.
Will that kill off the cycle so I have to start it again, or will the tank be fine?
Pearl, the healthier of the two betta, looks fine. I do have a .5 gallon quarintine tank I can quickly reset up if I need to move one of the fish, but since they share a divided tank, they have both been exposed. Is it better to take the chance, continue to treat them both, or move Moe into quarentine and leave Pearl to bask in 16.5 gallons of glory?
Thanks,
Becca
