Veg, Plec And Screwcumber Question

Am about to purchase a screwcumber thing of eBay, I dont want to put it on the bottom of the tank as its all planted will the plec still eat if its suspended against the side of the tank with string or fishing line attached to the screwcumber.

Am guessing it wont mind but thought Id ask.

have you brought it yet, because you can anchor food down with the lead plant weights,they do the same thing

Not bought it yet, was thinking about using wire or a similiar thing but was worried that it would be coated and kill my fishes.

Im guessing a meat skewer suspended on the side of the tank would be sufficient.
