Various Problems!

Okay I have a platy that has patches of white on its tail and body and i'm wondering is that cotten whool desiease?

ALso my betta face is off colour and is slightly paler, what fish medicane can I treat it with?

I have white spot desiease treatment, and I used it everytime my fish are unhealthy

Also my red tailed shark hides under my driftwood and I dont know why!

PH is absolutly fine and there are no traces of chopper and I recently did a water change

Copper and PH really don't matter too much atm.

What are your ammonia and nitrite readings?
How many gallons or litres is the tank?
What fish are in there?

I don't want to sound patronising because you seem to have been around the forums for a few months, but you have cycled your tank? etc.

Also as maximus said, it's the ammonia and nitrite readings that are more important

a 3 foot long tank, should hold quite a few gallons i would imagine

It's most likely that your water conditions are poor. Please post tests results for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH as well as tank capacity and temp so we can help you out. Sounds like possibly fungus or finrot but difficult to diagnose without photo. Melafix and Pimafix are best cures although won't help unless we can sort out what caused the outbreak in the first place.

rtbs hiding cold be numerous things,, is he a new addition? if so hes getting used to it... or he may just be a quieter individual rtbs (possable) or he may be getting bullied by something else in the tank (not normal but possable)... bettas face being off color... was it always or is this a new thing? my bettas face has always been a different color then the body... the white spots iunno...

The RTS has been here for a few months and infact he bullies the Rainbow shark cos its his terrytory!

As for the betta his face has been like that for a few months now, He had a big spot on his eye while I was away on hoiday but I managed to cure that by white spot treatment (Seems to work for most causes).

I'm just worried about the platy cos he seems to be getting worse!

Also another question , 2 of my neon tetras are pregnaut, I heard that its very hard to breed them but what chall I do about it?

if your tetras are pregnant, it's gonna lead to even more problems for you

I don't think you can prevent it now, and i just meant that it'll lead to extra stress for you, on top of the illnesses, having fry to look after as well. You'll be busy
