Valentini Puffer

new to the game. have 20 gal. w/ crushed coral substrate, florida live rock and a valentini puffer. would like to know what small fish are compatible (not clowns, but something odd). also help with info about my puffer and potential tankmates. thanx.

Probably asking the wrong forum. Try the marine forum.

Valentini puffers, Canthigaster valentini, are marine puffers. While there are brackish water species of Canthigaster, such as Canthigaster valentini, this isn't one of them.

Generally, sharp-nosed puffers are considered to be relatively peaceful and easy to accomodate. They are far less aggressive than the regular puffers.

I'd imagine that there are all sorts of interesting marines that would get along with it. Mind you, a 20 gallon tank is very small for marine fish, so quite possibly you'd be limited to a few gobies and invertebrates.
