i'm talkin like a dwarf lion or something most people dont have(the odd exotics) any other suggestions? :)

I don't know about valentini puffers (size, aggression, etc...) but I don't think a dwarf lion will "fit" in a 20g tank, especially if the puffer takes to mipping at the lion's spines and such. Also, you would want to think about that bioload. Both those messy meat eaters would wreak havok on your water parameters if you don't have great filtration (especially in a psuedo-nano tank).

I disagree about valentinis eating hermits. They eat much smaller inverterbrae hence its much smaller beak than alot of puffers. I have seen them kept in reef tanks quite happily as long as they are kept well fed with cockle and mysis etc.

A friend of mine keeps one in a 500L reef with various other fish from scooter blennys and yellow clown gobys up to a copper-band butterfly and a regal tang.

Its very difficult to say whether this would be the case with every valentini, but from what I have seen they are actually very peacful as long as they are kept nicely fed. However, keeping it in a 20G would obviously mean that you could have very few other fish with it as they have the potential to get to 4-5" so you wouldnt want to crowd it with other fish.

I kept the Valentini in a 80Gallon and i seen it attacking blue, red & electric blue hermits. I fed it every day with either krill or mysis. Your friend must have a peaceful one, but the general pufferfish family are'nt to be kept with them. By the way i dont mean the hermits that are about the same size as a Tennis Ball!!

I bought prob the worst one out all the puffers: " Black spotted puffer ". he is ok in my tank, aslong as feed him, he`s always at the glass wanting to eat, and eats happily out of my hand, he`s surrounded by corels, and many fish. and doesn`t bother anything. but he eats like no other fish ive had so the bigger the tank the better for any puffers, as said previously they are very messy eaters, and " mint " filtration is a must!
