UV or not??

my set up will be a 2ft tank sumped with 5WPG of lighting tank will be full of corals live rock a handful of fish and a large cleaner crew.

I'ved seen alo of conflicting information for UV's on marine, I could easily fit a 8W unit into my set up so should I run one or not?

You will porablby get just as many conflicting views in this thread but as you have asked for peoplee opinions i will give you mine.

I like UVs, I am convinced that they have been of benefit to my system in the past. Make sure though that you get the correct amount of flow through the UV or its a complete waste of time. Too much flow through the filter means the water is not staying withing the UV chamber long enough to be sterlised by the tube.

ah crap had forgotten about flow rate, unless I go for the 15W unit my flowrate is too fast, and i doubt I could fit a 15 W unit in the stand....dammit!
