Uv Lamp - Highest Wattage The Best?

Hi guys,

Planning on adding a UV lamp to my setup for extra security (yesterday had a scare - thought whitespot on a couple of fishes, but must of been sand as it disapeared after 2/3hours).

Is it best to try and get the highest wattage? (currently found a few 36W on ebay for ok price)

most uv sterilizers should indicate max siz tank and flowrate through them, wattage will be something that is calculated by manufacturers, there is nothing wrong with getting a bigger uv sterilazer provided your flow rate through it is as stated by manufacturer, but bigger you go more expensive it gets.
