UV Filter question concerning adhesives

I am attempting to hook up a UV Filter to my 75gal FO Tank and am wondering if it is safe to use PVC adhesive on a few of the fittings going into the UV Filter.

You need aquarium sealant to be safe.
A lot of the other stuff has chemicals that can leach into the water and poison your fish.
A small tube is usually quite cheap
