Revision17
Fish Fanatic
I don't own any corals, nor do I have any experience with them (this is more out of curiosity than anything). However, I'm reading up on coral supplements here: (yes I'm aware they're trying to sell me stuff), among other places. Upon looking at the coral supplement products, they look pretty similar to the chemicals I use for my planted aquarium.
For example Calcium and pH buffering could be done by adding Calcium Carbonate. For magnesium I could use Magnesium Sulfate (part of water hardener for planted). Most of the trace supplements seem to contain pretty much the same minerals (though most have vitamins and bromide, which aren't in any of my plant trace stuff).
Would it be possible to use my planted supplies which seem to contain similar elements with corals?
