Well Im cycleing my 33gal marine aquarium and I went to my pet store and he adviced that I use mollys to help cycle my tank. But my dad went to a diferen't pet store and they told him that it wasn't a good idea to use mollys because fresh water fish make differen't bacteria. So I have no clue which theory is true...please help?

I would never use a fish to cycle a tank whether its a cheap and cheerful molly or a £500 Asfur Angel

IMO Cycling a tank is cruel to and is totally unecessary.
If you are using liverock then you wont need to cycle at all (providing you get large enough quantities). If not then you can cycle a tnak but simply adding a frozen prawn fro the freezer. this will do the very same job and wont stress the fish by making them live through an ammonia and nitrite spike

I'll agree with navarre. There is no need to mature/cycle a tank with live fish.

ste :)

Pure bottled amonia without added chemicals is also an alternative, it is easy, fast (results usually in two weeks, sometimes less) and cheap. I can tell you more about it if you like.

The simple way is to take a clean bottle with you when you go to the loo... :*)
