Using Large Top Fin Filter Cartridge In A Penguin 150 Filter

I had to change my filter cartridge today and all I had was large Top Fin filter cartridges. I put one in and it seems to be doing fine but will it hurt the filter in the long run?

You should be fine. I'm constantly pulling various cartridges from filters and moving them around (When cycling tanks.) As long as the water is flowing through, no worries. I even jam extra pads or media cards in there to gain bacteria on them. I just make sure not to jam them so full that they overflow out the back of the filter.

Yeah the water is flowing through the filter cartridge more than the old one and is working better than the old one.
