I am getting a new 750 litre preformed pond put in where my 150 currenlty is situated and I was wondering if there was anything i could keep in the 150? I could keep the pond indoors or outdoors.

i have the same problem, and have decided to place the new bigger preformed pond in, then place the smaller old one next to it but higher up, then hook it up so its like a two part pond, water WILL flow from the top smaller pond, into the bottom bigger pond (when i figure out how to do it!), then be pumped back up into the smaller one.
in the smaller one shall be all my plants, which will act as extra filtration, then the fish in the bigger, bottom pond (with a few select plants in there for shelter)

Or you could turn it into a bog garden, great for wildlife and would go hand in hand with the new pond.

Hang a couple of halides over it, put some light coloured pea gravel at the bottom, put a couple of potted water lilies in the pond under the halides, add an external aquarium filter and a heater as if it were a fish tank.

Hey-presto, you have a natural indoor tropical pond. Stock it with random small fish if you like it being more of a natural experiment (could use it for breeding tetras, guppies or whatever) or you could add bigger fish like and oscar or two.

The pond is way to small for koi, so don't even consider it.

you cannot keep one oscar in there let alone 2!!!!!! 150L is far too small and the oscar would easily jump out

Yeah, I misread and thought they were asking about what to keep in the 750L.

Not quite sure what the OP is asking now...is it just a 150L aquarium? What's in it already? What was the point of even mentioning the pond if your talking about the 150L?

like three-fingers says, it would make a wonderful indoor tropical pond. how about turning it upside down, cutting it in half, and making some form of landscape addition to you new pond. if you are adventurous, you could run a pump from the pond so the water falls over the, feature. it would look good and help with O2 in the pond too.

Yeah, you can keep a few goldfish in it, or a few kois.

150L is not big enough for, even, one goldfish, and a Koi? err no.
