Urgent live food culture question.

We finished off the last of our wheat berries las week and My biology teacher has some protists that he said I can start some cultures with But W/O wheat berries I have no food for them, My neighbors have "Never heard of them" and going to the store is not an option. I don't want to sit around for the next two months until breakup since I am planning on getting my zebra danios to breed soon. Can I use rice or oatmeal? Potato's? Brewers yeast? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated especially those made in a timely manner seeing as how I leave for school at ~ 3 PM GMT.
