Urgent Help

I am going to my lfs tomorrow and my friend was wondering if there are any goo plecos that get roughly around 10". I can't find anything much info anywhere and he needs to get it tomorrow. Anybody know of any names that's all I need are names of plecos that are 10" give or take a few inches. Please respond and dont worry about anything aobut the size that is already taken care of. Please help

Already have skimmed over that before, remember it needs to be 10-12" but 12" max.

Originally you asked for roughly around 10 " - that list contained a few in that catagory.
If you want one more like 12", get a common plec ( Hypostomus Punctatus) - nice and easy to find.

hi there dont know if this be of help to you i know you said you want a 10 in or more,but if you want one that stay about 6-8 in,then try a clown pleco,but there is a draw back they eat wood,hope i have help you same take care

not normally no.... most get to 5-6" max.

Go for one of the 22 listed in the link posted above... whats 2" among friends
You'll be able to offer it a bit more room too.

Didn't you just say that 8" was not big enough and that you'd prefer something between 10-12" ?
At 12" (Hypostomus Punctatus) if that's what you asked for - then no.

Ancistrus usually reach 5-6" as mentioned.

You have a 30Gal..? That is not suitable for a 10" pleco mate,

Ya well I dont think he is getting one anymore but is a Ancistrus a bristle nose pleco

It would help if we knew what tank mates and what size tamk it the pleco was going into. But I fugure its probably too late now

Well he isn't getting one. He didn't want me to tell you guys what the tank mates are since you probably wouldn't agree with him and he didn't want you guys to yell at me since sometimes he comes over and he comes on this forum with me but the tank mates are two baby pirhanas in a 40 gallon long. He was going to try to make the pirhanas like him. I think he might be able to actually pull it off if he found a good pleco since both of us can stick our hands in there and they swim around it and are not afraid of it and he has got them to eat only flake food and there have been 3 small guppies in there for over two weeks now and they play with each other.

...I vote for leaving him (your "MATE" ) in the tank for extended periods (12 hours a day of that in darkness) with a couple of piranah and see just how stressed that might make him feel .... just a thought
