Losing scales is either from attacks by other fish or a parasite called myxosporidia. I would say as well taht your fish has dropsy. Take the fish out and try to lift the gill case to see if there are any white nodules. Sorry but there isnt a cure for either disease and seperating the fish to stop it spreading is the only thing you can do unless you euthenize it.
Is there a chance it could be being bullied? And do the scales look like they are lifting out in a pinecone effect as it looks like it to me which would indicate dropsy.

Yeah its definately dropsy.

Ive isolated, raised temp, added some salt, extra aeration.

Called LFS they said to euthanise immediately as the result will be the same in the long run.

Take it there is nowt more I can do.

What about the main tank, anything I should do or will they all be ok??

Sorry but your fish is too advanced in the stages of dropsy to save but you can try. Salt isnt any use here and will probably quicken the death as the kidneys are probably damaged. Epsom salt is usually whats used at an eighth of a teaspoon per 3 uk gallons but only at the first stages.

As for the main tank I would do several water changes over the next few days and then add some meds for internal bacteria.
