Urgent Help Required

Help please.

My Red Sea Max has suddenly developed loads of purple red slimy algea all over the live rock, sand and anything else that is stationary. Also loads of air bubbles trapped in the algae. Any idea what it is and how i canget rid of it

sounds like cyano

tends to be caused by an excess in nitrate and or phosphate, (very common in new setups)

try some good water changes, adding (or changing) phosphate remover, and directing your powerheads at it as it hates flow.

Anti red will mask the problem and not solve it.

You need to fin out why you are growing cyano, likely to be the reasons that Anguilla has already mentioned.
