Urgent,could I Get An Answer Quick?

Hi,I have.. well had quite alot of tadpoles but I checked on them today and most were dead,it seems a huge shame as they were so close to maturing but I have got a few survivors out of the pond, and most have arms and legs.Can I let these go to fend for themselves or wait untill they're tails have dissapeared?

what species were they?
Pretty sure you should never remove tadpoles form the habitat they have been growing in - they are quite sensitive to large changes in water chemistry

they are common,British frogs.And I was desperate,I was sure they couldn't last another day and still am,they were acting very drowsy and in the presence of so many rotting corpses,the water could only get worse
