urgent - all my fish are ill

I posted a message about a sick black widow the other day and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. Anyway, she died later that evening and I've now noticed that my 2 zebra danio's and my peppered cat all have red gills, and the female danio is scratching against rocks.

My nicaraguan cichlid, 2nd black widow and shrimp all seem to be fine.

Any ideas as to what I can use? I need to sort this ASAP. all of my levels are fine, it seemed to start when I was sold a kenyi cichlid by a dodgy lfs that died whilst I was on holiday. I went on holiday within 2 days of buying it and when I got back it had died and all my other fish are getting or gotten ill

Sounds suspicious to me. If your fishes have reddened gills and are also 'flcking' on things, it could be because of some type of parasite. Have you tried looking in to this......

thanks for that. looks like a parasite, but it says to use appropriate medication. Can you guide me as to what I should use. I know I'm limited with having a shrimp though.

I can't recommend you anything because I don't know (exactly) what your fishes may have.

Once you're more certain of what's wrong, then you can get more suitable help from either myself or more 'experienced' members in this issue.

sounds like gill flukes. can you move the shrimp to another tank so you can medicate the others.
