Upsidedown Pleco

My pleco has been very active and healthy. As of lately I have noticed that after going up a wall he would go on the surface of the water and almost treat the surface of the water as if it were a wall in the aquarium. Is this normal? Could he just be getting food this way?

Try feeding more sinking foods

Our common does it if we feed flake and he fancies some.

I got some algae waffers and he loved 'em... but then again so did the cats and mbuna!

One of my BN used to suck under a lilly leaf at feeding time and try to get the flakes I put in for the other fish. It was so funny to watch. Mine all hang out all over including under the lillies (no longer eat flakes off the surface though) but don't really stay on the surface with nothing to hang on to. Yours must be extra clever.
