Upside Down Cat Fish

Hiya

We have had an upside down catfish for about 5 years now, he has always been the only catfish (didnt realsie until i joined here that they should be in groups) he is a good size and has always been well- i was just wondering if anyone knows how long they live for?

Im on the look out for another one now to keep him company if anyne has any or knows where i can get one in the Kidderminster area-none of the shops weuse have any.

Probably over ten years. Synodontis are incredibly durable catfish once acclimated to your aquarium. There are plenty of reports of large Synodontis lasting for 20-30 years. I suspect this is a thing with catfish generally.
