We recently purchased a 75 gal tank. We have a 20gal tank with 3 mollies and 3 platies and a bristlenose pleco that we want to transfer to the new tank. We have the new tank running with a filter from the 20 gal to help build up the good bacteria community. I assume it's not safe to move all the fish from the 20 gal to the 75 at once. I think the recommendation is 1-3 fish so I was thinking moving mollies first and then platies and then the bristlenose. Is that how I should Do it? Also how long should I wait before adding each set of fish?

If you moved the old established filter from the smaller tank into the big tank, then you just move all the fish at once. You put the old filter in the new tank and add the fish straight away, and the filter will keep the ammonia and nitrite at 0.
