The draft I had of a CUC overview that is hovering around somewhere still should be considered out of date now. Ultimately I got carried away (I blame the section on urchins) and there is now a 31-page pdf with images:

http://www.scribd.com/doc/61818153/

There may be bugs present as this is the first release - but the URL will stay the same as I continue to keep the document updated. Ditto for my hermit crab document on the same site (which is at http://www.scribd.com/doc/54739534/ and referenced in the other pdf). How often the CUC document will get updated beyond bug-fixing types of edits I don't know. I wasn't sure what the status was as far as far as what people want out of it here (more as I have it to add, less 'cause it's too long, or neither), but I figure at least it has a stable URL now. The text-only, forum-formatted version of the document is a bit unwieldy at this point TBH...I can toss it up if anyone really wants it for resource-related things still, but it really makes my previous text-wall draft of the thing look like more of a text-brick. If anyone has requests in that regard, let me know.

PS - in case anyone sees that I somehow had time to produce a 31-page thing such as the above and goes "ZOMG Why are you not reading your PMs!" honestly I'm not trying to being a jerk, I promise! It's been a super-crazy couple weeks for me and I've had more time to work offline than on.

You are fabulous and amazing! Will enjoy reading this tonight! Because I'm a geek and needed something else to read after I finished with Borneman. :look:

By the way, I like this website, I may subscribe. I've got some stuff I can put up there. Cool.

Just put up a revised version with a couple typo fixes, a new photo, and a new paragraph. Probably won't have another update for a while as I have other written things that need attention at this point.

I really like it's combination of Google-accessibility and the ability to keep a static URL across versions. I had been putting things on my university space for a long time, but for some reason search bots are forbidden there, so it was essentially invisible. The scribd solution has worked out much better for me so far! Only thing I don't like about the site is the category system, which seems like it needs revision. Some categories seem to force choice between a small number of oddly specific sub-categories that make meaningful/correct categorization of certain types of work a bit difficult.

Strangely enough I found the site because I ran across a pdf of mine that someone else had uploaded there, although they left my name on it and everything.
