well i havent been on here in ages. thought id say hello and get an update on here.

well i had a 20g for a while :
had about 14lb of LR in there. a blue damsel a few turbo's and 6 red legged hermits. also had a pair of clowns.

i then upgraded to a 30g tank.
unfortunatley over the last 2 months 1 of the clowns got sucked up against my rio1100 pump and died. and the 2nd clown died unexpectidly 2 days later :(
the tank now has 20lb of LR and i have another 10 lb on the way. i have around 6 turbos and 6 red legged hermits.1 blue damsel ( whos bin with me since my SW start ) and 1 cleaner shrimp. im running a 100gph pump ( built into a surface skimmer ) an aquaqlear 30 and a rio1100. i have a single compact T5 55wt and a T8 34wt . and have just ordered an arcadia luminaire which has 4 x 39wt T5. im not sure weather im going to get corals or stick to FOWLR. comments and advice welcome.

Hi! Very nice, neat setup you have there! I am only a few days away before I convert my freshwater to saltwater. Looking forward.

cool. i deffinatley prefer SW to FW. its so much more interesting, ok. so its a fair bit more pricey. and more work. buts worth it at the end of the day. what size tank u got ?

I agree, once you get all the research done it isn't too bad. At first a bit daunting though!!

I have a 4ft 175 Litre tank that I will be converting. Taking my fish to the LFS this Sat for a bit of store credit. I'll be getting a skimmer and salt on Sat too. And then it begins!
