:) I have introduced her back to the tank. Her fin has repaired itself and she looks Ok. I did wonder if the bullying algae eater was not getting enough food on the floor - as it were - and so bought some special bottom feeding food. I have just put some in but the algea eater is nowhere to be seen and the bits that are dropping off are being eaten by my neons and pritsellas!! Will the algae eater eventually find it or do I need to do something special when introducting the pellet? cool_jool

what type of algae eater is it? if it is acommon pleco they are nocturnal and may not feed with the light on. try dropping the sinking food in about 30 minutes after you turn the tank light out for the night.

 To be honest I have no idea what sort of algae eater it is! But it is not nocturnal! It has now found the food and eaten it with vigour so all looks OK. cool_jool

well for my alge eaters i give them alge wafers once in a while and they just come across them and ravage them they dont stay in the tnak for long.
