It was my 1 year aniversary today. My wife had heard me talking about how I thought a baby bottle scrub brush would be so perfect for cleaning the live rock. So she bought me one.

I have been brushing all the live rock clean with the scrub brush. Is there any reason that I should notbe doing this?

If the bottle brush comes in contact with a coral it could damage the tissue and cause an infection. And you might get rid of some of the macro algae, worms and corals that might settle on the rock. Other than that you shouldn't have any problems removing some of the lose debri on the rocks.

Ok. I will be careful with the corals. I hit one before and it didn't seem to like it much.
