Heya guys i have recently lost my last peppered cory which leaves just a bronze cory....
i want corys too occupy my tn but im not sure i like the peppered or albino or the bronze......
i want something more unusual :S
any ideas ?
oh and where i can find them too!

corys are fish which like to be in a group. if you only have a bronze left but do not like it then i would find it a new home as it wont be very happy on its own, i had one on its own and i think it died because it was lonely and refused to eat. they are best kept in groups of atleast 4. there are lots of different types of corys available. the bronze and albino corys will shoal together as they are the same. which means you could keep two different colours together in smaller numbers. i dont know if you have a maidenhead aquatics near you but they often have a wide range of corys but they do tend to be more expensive

Corydoras Sterbai is the ultimate widely available cory. Not only do they have nice orange fins, but I love their pattern. They get up to a nice chunky 2.6" and can withstand Angelfish and Discus temperatures without shortening their life span.

I finally found them today and I love them.

Hi nakomis90 :)

Corys come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, but it's often difficult to find a particular one. Since many of them that are found in the lfs are wild caught, it could depend on the season. Some species might be available if you just have enough patience, but others will never appear in the stores.

Make sure that whatever cory you choose is comfortable with the temperature of your tank and the other inhabitants. :D
