I'd like some replie concerning unusual foods to feed tropicals. Whats the most unusual thing you've fed them....lettuce and boiled egg yolk we know of....but what else???

If I had a school of RBP's I would happily feed them my girlfriends dog! B)

Not particually unusual but i have always fed my fish crickets, surface dwelling predators particually love them.
My snakeheads enjoy small strips of raw chicken.

Raw lean steak and boiled lobster and shrimp is about as exotic a meal as my fish get. (That is...when I can afford to eat it myself!) :D

I had a Piranha that loved Chicken Tikka, come to think of it he liked anything fleshy!!

My fish love lettuce and cucumber (I know that is not unusual). I have heard that beef heart is a favourite of some species but I have never tried them on it????

i've tried banana before...the tiger barbs ate a bit, but other than that no one seemed interested

Yep. Avoid anything acidic (citrus fruits, for example) and anything fatty (if you're going to feed raw meat, make sure it's only the very leanest flesh).
