Unintentional Breeding

Have you had a fish or any other animals that bred, even though you have no intention of breeding?

For me, I unintentionally bred Bettas. I originally wasn't planning on breeding Bettas, but they did it anyway. Now I counted seven fry on my 5-gallon aquarium.

I just found that I have pond snails in my 29g tank. It’s been setup for over 6 months and I’ve never seen one.

Cats. Man if you dont get them spayed young... always in heat... you cant spray them while they're in heat.... and if they get out while in heat for more than like 10 minutes it's almost guaranteed they're pregnant.... and you cant spray while pregnant either

My Grandma has over 25 cats in her house. (She is a hoarder )

She had to build a little shack off the side of her house, so her cats could have more room to live inside. (Not that there is any room inside to live, there is junk everywhere)

My grandma is pretty much the same, although we helped them downsize cats to just 10

But none of hers are spayed for neutered. So they reproduce so fast.

Yep. We had to help pay to fix hers and tale the other unspayed ones to the shelter

I had Platies for years and one day I noticed several tiny fish swimming around the tank! I had no clue they would even breed in a tank. I was so excited. Going forward they just kept having babies. It was really fun to see the variations in colors on them. I had Mickey Mouse Platies and Sunburst Platies at that time.

You can spray cats any time you see them, and preferably with a fire hose.

You can spay cats and dogs in season, however, they lose a heap of blood if you do it then and there is more chance of infection and death, so most vets say hold off until they are no longer in season. Spaying when in season or during pregnancy also screws up the hormones in the female.

No, we separated the male and the female took very good care of them. We had one of those tube enclosures where you can attach different rooms and towers.
