I posted this in another thread, but think I should have stuck it in here.
The poor litle fish really isn't looking well at all, and has gone from looking a bit tatty but still swimming round, to spending lots of time on the bottom, and only swimming when trying to get away from other fish. He is very wobbly.
Not sure if there is anything I can really do now :( But if you could check the other thread any help would be amazing

Cheers people

How many gallons is the tank.
How many fish and which type.
bad water stats due to cycling will cause finrot problems.

Its a 190l tank

I have 6 swordtails, 5 seem totally fine, I think the poorly one is getting picked on by the other fish?

My tank stats are as follows.

PH - 8
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate 40

Yesterday

PH - 8
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0.25
Nitrate 40
(30% water changed)

Monday

PH - 8
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0.25
Nitrate 40
(30% water changed)

Im sad to say the poor little boy didn't make it through the night :(

R.I.P.
I would carry on with water changes and increase aeration.
Good luck.

Cheers wilder.

I really think that the male to female ratio was pretty bad, and that as this fish was the smallest they bullied him to death. The other fish all seem perfectly happy, no signs of any infection, torn fins, and are all eating very well.
I shall however keep a very close eye on them.

My water stats are looking very healthy, but shall continue to test everyday and perform water changes to ensure that they have the best possible environement to live in.

many thanks for everyone who read and pondered over this topic
