2 rummy nosed tetra and some of my shrimp have died.

I have tested all the parameters of the water and they are all completely fine.

Gould the algae bloom I'm experiencing have starved the fish of oxygen and resultantly killed them??

All answers welcome

Thanks, TheAquariumGuy

If it's a really heavy algae bloom then it can result in oxygen depletion.

To control algae, limit light and nutrient input, even if this means reducing the light or food to less than usual levels, keep the tank lights off for a few days and feed every other day
2) remove as much algae as possible, scrub down the tank, remove ornaments, scrub and wash those, and do a water change to physically remove the algae
3) eliminate nutrients from the aquarium by using phosphate, silicate or nitrate remover as necessary.
