Need a little help as im tearing my hair out at the moment. Ive almost finished building a new stand for my bow fronted floating base aquarium. All was going well until this morning, ive placed the tank on the stand and theres a gap of about 1mm maybe less under one of the front corners of the tank and an even smaller gap under the other front corner. I would try and alter the top but its been stuck down with no more nails now so getting it off to attempt to rectify the problem is going to be near impossible without ruining it. So question is with it being a floting based tank am i going to have trouble if i try and pack the areas where its not quite meeting the stand? If so has anyone got any other suggestions on what i could do with it other than throw it out the window which is what i want to do right now.

I wish that I had a better solution but even the floating base tanks need even weight support around the entire plastic base. A gap means the tank will flex when you fill it with water and ultimately will fail because of the warping along the silicone joints that it causes.

No problems, ive managed to fix it with a bit of brute force and some plastic shims wedged under the top piece of the stand in the corners. Its not pretty but i'll cover it with a bit of silicone and you wont even know its there. Its all meeting the tank as it should now thankfully, just got to get some more tubing for my filters today and i can get it all up and running.
