Uncycled Tank

I originally posted in Newbie but now think this is a better area. I had to move 2 common plecos from my pond as the falling temp would have been fatal. Anyway, I purchased a 55g and only had it running 3 or 4 days before transferring the fish. One pleco is approx 8" nose to tip of fin. and the other probably 6". My problem - I have elevated levels. BTW, this is day 9. PH 6.8, Ammonia 2!!! Nitrate .25 amd Nitrate 5.
I've done 2 10% H2O changes, today and two days ago with no effect on the ammonia. I've also vacuumed the gravel as plecs can be quite messy

Should I do daily changes? How much?

Which is the nitrite reading as they both say nitrate.

I would do 50% daily. If it is a smaller pond with a filter, take some of the pond filter media & put it in the tank filter. If you can, get a python, it will make this situation more bearable, or get a garden hose for filling to cut the bucket brigade in half.
