I don't know if anyone on here has seen this before but I just had to share.

While trawling through the web looking for goldfish info I came accross this video on Youtube. It's of a fish tank installed underneath a deep fat fryer in a japanese restaurant, they use the goldfish to clean the deep fat fryer.

Oil floats on water (the oil ejected into the tank can reach temperatures of 163 degrees Celsius).

"Apparently, however, the fish seem perfectly happy with the arrangement and can live for between 5-10 years. " Yeah right!!!

that video is proper wierd it cant be true it would cook the fish the water would be too hot im sure

If this is the video I think it is, I recall someone saying that it was just meant to show some new kind of oil that didn't explode when coming in contact with water, and that the goldies are there just to prove that it really IS water underneath the oil.
