Depends on the size of the tank. Considering that the tinfoil barb grows to about 13 inches and should be kept in a group, I wouldn't put it in anything smaller than a 150 gallon. Going up to 200 gallons would be even better. In a tank this size a golden gourami should have no trouble with a tinfoil barb.
The golden gourami is a color variation of the blue gourami, right? This fish grows to about 5 inches and one of them needs at least 40 gallons.
