I recently found out that my hypostomus needs veggies. I tried to give him some zucchini today and it floats. will it get water logged and sink or is there something I need to do to it to get it to sink?

Try using a stainless steel fork to help weigh it down. Next time you are at your lfs, it's worth getting a couple of plant weights, that's what we use to keep veggies down for our Plecs. ;)

I went with a spoon instead of a fork. I didn't want anyone impaling themselves.

They wouldn't eat it. I'm going to try again later though. They won't eat the algae wafers either.

Any other ideas?

Best to put food in the tank after lights out as most Plecos are nocturnal. Don't leave veg in the tank for more than a few hours as it will start to pollute your tank water.
Don't worry if it doesn't eat it first time round, sometimes it does take a few attempts!

I just bought a pack of Screwcumbers. for 4.25 delivered for 2.... Bargain.

our plecs and gouramis will not leave it alone. we stick them in late at night and there is only the skin if your lucky left by morning.....
