i thought that it would be realy cool to have mist on top of a pond or tank, does anyone know if they are safe?
i would realy apreaciate any help that you could give me. :D

If its just water, then i dont see why not (use delchlor'd water)

if there are chemicals, i would'nt do it!

thank you for replying! :D im prety sure that it is just water, just not sooo sure abt the ultrasound waves that acctually make the mist :/ ...i guess that they should be OK

hi,

My mum's boyfriend has one on his pond and it looks fantastic in the dark. His one has got lights built into it so the whole mist seems to have strange a glow to it, it looks realy amazing. He also some lights emdedded into the brick work around the edge of the pond just above the waterline, when these are switched on and the mist rolls across the pond it is really nice to watch. HIs pond is full of Koi and it doesnt seem to bother them.

oh thank you soo much! yay it will work! thank you.

Couldn't say if they are safe, but somebody is selling them on ebay (Australia) for use in an aquarium and includes a pic. Ebay Link

Interesting idea, I even have an old one somewhere !
However I'd only use it in the evening as it would cut down on the amount of light that penetrates the tank and
I need all I can get for the plants !

Might look good at night with blue 'moon' lighting 8)
