Uk Frag Swaps?

Hi all

Was looking round the site and saw that the Exchange section in claasifieds had never been used so maybe Im peeing in the wind here

Anyway just throwing the idea out there if anyone (UK based) would be interested in having some organised frag swapping

Since we all seem to be scattered so it would have to be done by post, pics on the forum with descriptions of what is available and what you want in return or if nothing is available then cash alternative?
Obviously you would have to take into account heat packs, bags etc but if its a trade then the other side will be doing the same. It would still work out cheaper than what certain mail order companies want for frags anyway and its a cheaper way to add stock and variety.

Well its just an idea, lets see what you guys think

We used to have a frag exchange but because we are so exclusive it didnt get used much - Maybe Ben would think about adding the section back into the Classifieds?

In my opinion people are taking the mick these days with the prices they are charging for frags especially when most of them are buying colonies and breaking them down.

Couldnt agree with you more - im currently going back to a softies tank along with my BTAs (although very tempted to jsut have Bubble Tips) - so am also on the look out for corals. But i refuse to pay those lfs prices

I'd be up for a little something like this. When my frags grow some more I'd happily frag some to sell or exchange. This makes things cheaper for all of us, anything that does that, well I cant moan at

I agree, I would love to but I cant even start my little reef.

Sadly some of the coral I am keeping now doesn't do well in the usual tank, be happy to swap some zoa's and other softies though.
