well I don't know if this is an emergency but....
yesterday I moved my guppies and platties into a 29g. Now my female platty is hiding and I saw some stringy poop. I hate adding meds and if it's bacterial it's not a good idea to raise the temp. What should i do? Could salt help? though plants don't like salt either.

Stringy poo is normally a sign of over feeding.
as long as it is poo its ok, however if it is a worm then you have a big problem.

She may be pregant. I have a hard time telling with platties. She does eat well and try not to over feed them. I was hoping that it may be a pregancy thing

My platty has been coming out more today :) Maybe between the move and her possible pregnancy she got freaked out and needed some alone time.

Stringy poo can also be a sign of constipation :) Cut back on the bloodworm and other high protein stuff for a few days, and feed her some fresh veg (crushed shelled peas are good :) )
