This is the stray we adopted a year ago.............she has discoverd the fish tanks and likes the catfish one the best since it is lower and she can bat at the cories occasionally! It is so cute!!!

our cat used to do that - i used to leave my drawer open (my tank stands on a chest of drawers) and the cat used to jump into it and tap the tank. he used to go crazy when any of the fish moved (so all the time, when you have zebra danios in the tank ).

he used to eat all my fish food too

I actually started a thread in regards to the "Pets eating fishfood" and got quite a few posts back (it was a few weeks ago before the site went downhill!). My dogs can break a childproof latch on the fishtank door to get to the fishfood while we are away. We recently lost a huge can of shrimp pellets to our oldest weeny dog, Nikkerbelle! SHE LOVES IT!! Ummmmmmmm.........fish meal-y goodness.........

Thanks! She is a little wacko ( I am seeing a theme here...since we have a developmentally challenged weeny dog too!) but she makes us laugh! This is something new (fish watching)......and I am glad to see it. She was nearly wild when we adopted her and even though she is still scared of us, she will let us pet her and hold her for about 10 seconds.... I was glad to help a stray out...........

I actually started a thread in regards to the "Pets eating fishfood" and got quite a few posts back (it was a few weeks ago before the site went downhill!).

i saw that post before, but i didn't reply cos i always figured that the fish food has fish in it and that was why he liked it. dogs eating it is just plain weird though my friend's puppy ate a huge tub of fish food (the tub was some cheapo brand the size of a pot noodle tub!!!! ). it ate every last scrap then ran around with the tub wedged on its nose. so sweet... and gross!!

My oldest weeny dog has a favorite...........shrimp pellets! She will drag everything out from under the cabinet to get to them.......except she thinks that everything has shrimp pellets in them.......de-chlorinator, aquarium salt, carbon....it will all be dragged across the house when I get home from school..........
