I moved the new white guy (well, got him a few weeks ago and he's not got a name yet) to his own 3g tank. It was then I noticed he had finrot. Red edged fins, smaller than they were. Anyway, had some finrot meds so put some in. Now he has white stringy poo. I doubt this is normal as they get red coloured food, so have red poo. Seems he's the sickly one. None of the others have got ill, well, I think Hannibal might have had ich but that cleared up very quickly. I'm not sure if I can get meds today, so does a salt bath help this? Or MelaFake? I have those.

White stringy poop is a sign of internal parasites... At least thats what my guppies had when they had white stringy poop. Im not sure if the treatment is the same for bettas as guppies... IF it is I used parasite clear jungle buddies but it took a long time to clear up, BUT some people have had good luck with that product.
Good luck :)

Red to the edges of the fins is septicemia i would get the fish on a internal bacteria med, long stringy white poo, might be due to the infection try some shelled peas.
