Well, this morning I woke up to find that for some reason, my orange VT decided to chew his beautiful tail. I've got no clue why. No changes were made to his environment. Maybe he was just bored.
THEN just now I walked by and saw Moo, my yellow CT female, FLOATING ON HER SIDE! I panicked and thought that she was dead, but I shook her tank and she tried to dart down to the bottom, but just floated back up again. She was perfectly fine this morning, and now this? Could she be constipated? Her belly does look pretty bloated. Swimbladder problems can't develop that rapidly, can they? It's like she can't stay down. She fights it, but she floats back up again. She looks otherwise healthy, colorful and all. I just changed her water, added a pinch of salt and some stress coat. I'll go out to get some peas to try on her when my fiance gets home from work. Any other ideas? What do you think it is? Poor girl. I'm worried about her.
Could she be egg-bound?
