I brought 3 parrots a couple of weeks ago now and it look like 2 of them have paired up and they keep chasing the other one off all the time. The other night they were really going for it looked like planes having a dog fight in my tank and even locking their mouths together. Do you think I should re home one of them or will they settle down?

Depends what size the tank is and what else is in there. I have kept multiples along with a breeding pair though there were other fish in the tank so agression was a bit more spread out. If it's just the 3 parrots then chances are the pair will make the spares life a misery.

In your situation the pair will probably harass the third parrot to death in the end. Best rehome it, or get it into another tank.

Thanks for your replies
I shall look into re-homing them.

Do you have a pic of the left out one? I'm in Bristol and would be happy to buy him from you :)

Thanks for offering to buy him but I thought I would keep him on his own as he causes no trouble and re-home the other 2 as they have started pecking at any fish that swims past their urn.

I would give you £10 for the pair :)

There yours if you want them here's a picture of them, one of them 2.5" and the other is 2" approx and growing fast
