Two kinds of Britstle-Nosed Plecs

Found two types:

Ancistrus dolichopterus - http/www.aquazoo.co.uk/page.cfm/Type=Fish/ID=209

The dolichopterus has white dots on its body whereas the lineolatus doesn't.?

There are loads of different types of bristle nose, it depends largley on which river they come from.

there are ancistrus that get big too... Have a search on here for 'brocoli'

Yes, that would be important. I got a bristle-nose on the belief that it only grows to 5-6".

Okay, mine has spots. Light colored ones. I am not sure they are exactly white though.

thats the hard part... they have been interbread so much.

I'm fairly sure ours are ancistrus Temmincki.
The spots are very well pronounced and the females dont have any bristles.
