i bought myself a bristlenose yesterday to take over algae duties from my ottos when i move them next week, got home to put him in the tank and found one of my ottos floating nose-up at the surface. no obvoius signs of illness and water parameters all ok, so all i could really do was send him down the porcelain highway.
Anyway, the bristlenose settles in fine and gets straight on with cleaning the tank. He was fine at 1am when i went to bed, but by 8am he had managed to manouver himself over the top of the Juwel filter box and out of a 2" gap in the hood above the filter, and was lying dead on the floor! RIP Mr Ugly!
This has not been a good week to be an algae eater in my house!
