I have a 30 gallon tank and introduced 2 turbo snails about a month ago. They did great on the glass cleaning..but moved to the rock (base, not live) and remain hiding out under them. Meanwhile the glass is covered again! They are alive.. they move..if we try to relocate them. Is this common?

Heh, Turbos have a mind of their own ;). I'd invest in an algae scraper, cause as good as snails are at cleaning glass, they're not as good as a scraper.

One of my strawberry snails crawled into my Prism Protein Skimmer  There was no way I could get him out of there, so i've just left him to it..hehehe....I have one brilliant algae free skimmer right now!

try astrea snails, turbos are retarded

lol Turbos arn't what I'd call good glass cleaners. Given the opportunity and food sources, they won't clean much of anything. Astreas are less demanding on food volume but very finicky IME...Trochus are better as a glass cleaner.
