Hey... I was at my local PetStore the other day and i noticed that they had small tubes in there tanks for some of there rainbow sharks. I asked what they were and the girl said that they were from a hampster set. (yknow the little cages with tunnels going to other cages). Now i have some of these laying around ( poor Mr.Fluffy  ) and was wondering if i could use them. Are there ways i can test it and or make it safe....or, are any plastic which isnt aqua safe....unsafe ?

:fish:

I would be careful about using them. They make leak some chemicals into the water that could be harmful. That is the first LFS/LPS that uses them for tunnels. There are some tunnles available for aquariums, but are rather expensive. You can also use PVC pipes, which I think would be a lot cheaper to use. That's what I currently use. I glued some of my rocks from my substrate to the outside using Aquarium Silicone glue so it blends in more.
